London

Brick stone mortar concrete steel and cement

It doesn’t change as the people swarm within and amongst

the rubble assembled in sensible patterns of occupation

The stones stay the same as people live pay rent earn minimum wage and struggle

To survive

No place for the handicapped or the mentally ill or the homeless

No place for the poor but place for ripped off traveller who discover

The bite of beyond the pocket

Cars and drivers – cars and drivers, always on the move or not

The unseen rich own what they want and sell what they care to, or not.

Tough neighbourhood if you can’t afford an Oyster card

Nowhere to go and nowhere to stay.

Ends.
